How do I market my courses through social media?

Since all online courses contain videos, YouTube can be utilized effectively as one of the key channels for promotion. We will discuss YouTube separately from the remaining social media channels here:

YouTube – There's a good chance that being an instructor, you already have a YouTube channel. If not, now is a good time to start. Once you create the YouTube channel, you can do the following to promote your courses:

  • Provide a link to your website course page with an attractive discount code on the YouTube About Us page.
  • Upload informational videos related to your course and provide a link to your course in the video description section.
  • Upload part of your course lectures as playlists or a course trailer video every few days. You can upload around a minute of each video and prompt viewers to visit your website to sign up to view the complete course. You can also provide a discount coupon as part of this message.

Other Social Media Channels – You can use other social media channels such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to post the announcement about the launch of your course and to provide attractive offers to join your course. You can also share a trailer of your course or a part of the lectures on these social media channels and provide a link to the course section on the website.
